What this site is

This Week Baby is an editorial content and information site about typical infant and toddler development, written to celebrate and inform, not to diagnose, screen, or treat. The weekly timeline tool computes an age from a date you enter and matches it to our own library content; it does not analyze, assess, or evaluate your baby in any way.

Nothing on this site is medical, developmental, or professional advice, and nothing on this site should be used to diagnose, screen for, or rule out a developmental concern. Nothing here creates a doctor-patient or clinical relationship of any kind. If you have a question about your own baby's development, ask your pediatrician, and see the CDC's free "Learn the Signs. Act Early." checklist, which is the resource we point to across this site for exactly that question. Your use of this site is at your own discretion and risk.

Accuracy

We work to describe mainstream child-development sources accurately and to cite them clearly (see our methodology). Development science evolves and individual sources are occasionally revised; we do not guarantee the site is free of error at every moment, and we correct mistakes we become aware of.

Acceptable use

You may not use this site to scrape, republish, or resell our content as your own, to attempt to disrupt the site's operation, or to use the weekly timeline tool in any way other than as a normal visitor.
